A Note From Cassandra:
"Hello, I'm Cassandra Sampson, your Ward 3 City Councilwoman Representative. My goal is to improve our community. Having lived here for most of my life, I understand the challenges we face. By working together, we can address these challenges and make our city a better place to live."
Cassandra has gone above and beyond her civic duty as council member in her help with our nonprofit, Flint & Steel. In my four years of knowing her, her priority has been solely on making the Mineola community stronger, healthier, and closer. She is a consistent volunteer and has helped make projects like the Iron Horse Skatepark and Unity Mural a reality.

I met Cassandra in 2018 when she was with a Women’s Awareness Campaign for Safe Sanitary pads that could make a difference in their lives. She is a woman with great passion for Women’s Health and Safety. Since then, I have seen her engaged in many different areas of service within our community.
Wherever there is a need, you will find her there with her sweet smile and desire to help in any way. She is joyfully dedicated to making a positive difference for our community.

In the 4 years I have known Cassandra it has been clear that she loves her community and wants what is best for it’s residents. She has visited, and shown concern for local small businesses as well as helping all residents and our community thrive. Cassandra is an experienced public servant with a clear vision of what she wants for Mineola and it’s citizens. Many residents share her vision with a focus on making Mineola a better place to live with affordable
housing, improved infrastructure and community involvement.
